About Meryl
She/Her
As an actress I have appeared in over 75 national commercials, videos for Funny or Die, College Humor and UCB Comedy. I’m perhaps best known as playing Brittany, Eleanor's roommate, in Mike Schur’s hit "The Good Place", as Andie Tate in the return of HBO's iconic "The Comeback" opposite Lisa Kudrow, and as Tovah Freedman on Season 18 of “Grey’s Anatomy”.
I have performed live improv and scripted comedy alongside Steve Carrell, Eliza Dushku, Alan Tudyk, Rob Delaney, Michael Ian Black, Andy Buckley, Shaquille O’Neil, Mayim Bialik and more. I’ve also guest starred on many comedy and drama network shows, including "This Is Us", "9-1-1", "For the People", "2 Broke Girls", "Bunk'd" and others, notably recurring as Millie in Cody Heller and Brett Konner’s "Deadbeat" on Hulu.
I wrote and produced several web series projects, in addition to my SAG short film, "It's Your Call" opposite friend Tyler Labine (New Amsterdam, Reaper, Dirk Gently, Deadbeat), which now has over 390,000 views on Omeletto’s YouTube channel, and was selected for the Oscar qualifying Palm Springs ShortFest and Hollyshorts festivals in 2019.
I then took my creative energy to the podcast space, independently producing and hosting a variety of shows; from TV show breakdowns (“Button Pushers”) to branded interviews on the entrepreneurial journey (“MarketPlay”) to authentic conversations around medical issues (“The Lemon Grove Podcast”).
As a PRO Patient, I have developed the Podcast “The Patient Party” and a digital course, The Patient Party Survival Guide (For Orthopedic Injuries). I love to do speaking engagements for medical professionals and patient groups alike, using my many years of navigating the world through chronic pain and injury to help others smooth the process for their patients, themselves and their loved ones.
I’m also a greeting card designer, writer, teacher, painter, an avid nature lover, roller skater, and self-care coach.
